Broadcaster Johnny Dematera dies

NAGA CITYRadio and TV broadcaster Johnny Dematera passed away at 4:30 PM today, March 2 at the Bicol Medical Center here.

This was confirmed by Kapisanan ng mga Broadkaster ng Pilipinas Camarines Sur Chapter Chairman Edwin Lara in an interview by BICOL STANDARD.

Dematera died of complications due to a kidney ailment and poor heart condition.

The longtime broadcaster worked at radio stations DZGE in Camarines Sur, DZMD in Camarines Norte, DZGB and WOW FM in Legazpi City.

He also hosted the afternoon TV newscast of PBN TV5 in the 90s.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
