5 hurt after ambulance crashes into house in Cam Sur


NAGA CITY (Bicol Standard) – Five people were injured after an ambulance crashed into steel barricades and into a house at Barangay Amomokpok, Ragay, Camarines Sur Tuesday afternoon.

The police said driver Donald Sorreda y Timajo, fell asleep while driving the white Nissan Urvan Ambulance registered under Department of Health Catanduanes when the accident happened.

The victims, who were inside their residence during the incident, were identified as: Miccahella Parafina y Lacdao, 20 years old, single, vendor; Judylynn Vita Belleras-Nuñez, 21 years old, married, housewife; Micaela Magdato y Belleras, 13 years old, minor, student; Prince Elnathan Nuñez y Belleras, 10 months old; and Akio Brent Tating y Auxilio, 4 months old.

The victims were rushed to Ragay District Hospital, Ragay, Camarines Sur for medical treatment.

Meantime, the police said the driver has been apprehended.

Follow-up investigation is being conducted as of this writing.
