DOH seeks kids' help in campaign vs firecrackers

MANILA 12/21/17 (Bicol Standard)—The Department of Health has called on school children to help in campaign against firecrackers this holiday season.

Department of Health (DOH) Assistant Secretary Maria Francia M. Laxamana said children should be encouraged to tell their parents and siblings to avoid firecrackers because of the injuries and accidents they cause.

Executive Order No. 28, Laxamana reiterated, now regulates and controls the use of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices.

This, she said, is for the safety not only of children, but also of the general public.
