Mother claims cadaver of alleged NPA member

NAGA CITY 6/14/17 (Bicol Standard)--Lazandra Paje Bengua broke down into hysterical sobs when she saw her son Michael Bengua Abonin in a coffin after the latter was killed on the June 12 clash between government troops and members of the New People’s Army (NPA).

Abonin, allegedly a member of the NPA, last talked with his mother on May 28 when he told him he was working in Batangas.

Bengua was the lone casualty in the encounter.

Abonin, according to his mother, hails from Barangay Caranan, Pasacao, Camarines Sur.

He left a 21-year-old, nine months pregnant common-law wife in Libmanan, Camarines Sur.
