Manila-Bicol underpass expected to decongest traffic

MANILA 2/23/17 (Bicol Standard)--In a bid to reduce the heavy traffic from Manila to Bicol and vice versa, a 419-meter long underpass road is set to be constructed along the 11-kilometer Maharlika Highway diversion road.

This was announced by Department of Public Works and Highways Lucena District Engineer Nestor Cleofas during the groundbreaking ceremony earlier this week.

The underpass road, which costs an estimated P230-million, will be completed by mid-2018, Cleofas told the media.
