The ex-governor captioned the photo, “United we stand #higitsasalitagawa #onecamnorte.”
An insider told the BICOL STANDARD that in the next polls, Alvin Tallado will be fielded by the group as their gubernatorial bet while Pimentel will run for 2nd district representative.
Tallado’s wife Josie will be fielded as 1st district representative, the report said.
As of this writing, BICOL STANDARD has not been able to contact Tallado or Pimentel on their takes on the issue.
It will be recalled that Atty. Michael Pajarillo issued a statement last week saying that all appointees of ousted governor Tallado must submit their courtesy resignation since the post that they are occupying is coterminous with the appointing authority.
Pajarillo was referring to Atty. Adan Botor, provincial administrator; Sherwin Mata, provincial information officer, Atty. Dondon Culvera, provincial legal officer, and Alvin Tallado.
Meanwhile, interviewed by the media in Naga City, Atty. Botor said there are other legal remedies which the former governor will avail before the higher courts.
In the same interview, he also hinted that Pimentel and Tallado are still strongly politically aligned.
