TESDA offers 30,000 scholarships to Bicolanos

NAGA CITY, November 17, 2016 (Bicol Standard) – At least 32,396 scholarships are open for out-of-school youth and workers in the Bicol region, Technical Education, Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) announced.

Interested individuals may avail of the skills training scholarships by going to the provincial or regional offices or visiting TESDA’s website at

TESDA has also partnered with the Liga ng mga Barangay to inform the youth and workers of the scholarships.

TESDA Director General Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong said that the scholarship program on skills training aims to help the youth get jobs easily.

Mamonding also said that providing scholarships would also make quality education accessible to the youth especially those who cannot afford to go to college.
