VIRAC, Catanduanes, 11/21/16 (Bicol Standard) -- "There won't be a tuition fee hike at [Catanduanes State University]," Gov. Joseph Cua confirmed earlier today.

Gov. Joseph Cua
Cua said he received a text message earlier this morning from Dr. Minerva Morales, University President.

He said he thanked Dr. Morales for giving consideration to said request.

It would be recalled that a Resolution earnestly appealing the Board of Regents of the Catanduanes State University, through Comm. Ruperto Sangalang, Chairman-Designate, to defer the proposed tuition fee increase was passed yesterday.

The Resolution was sponsored by Provincial board Member Giovanni Bani Balmadrid.
