3 armed men abduct farmer in Calabanga

CALABANGA, Camarines Sur 11/24/16 (Bicol Standard)—A resident of Zone 1, Brgy. Manguiring identified as Leo Francis Maulion y Santamaria, was reportedly abducted by three unidentified persons wearing bonnets, according to a police report this morning.


Maulion was on his way to work on his farm when the unidentified suspects blocked his way.

At gunpoint, the victim was forcibly pushed inside an L-300 van bearing plate number ZGN 204, parked in front of the farm of the victim shortly before the abduction incident occurred, the report said.

The L-300 van was seen negotiating the road towards the upland barangays of this town.

Reports say that the said getaway vehicle was recovered 4:20 pm Wednesday at Brgy. Lugsad here.

Meanwhile, as of this writing, the whereabouts of the victim is not yet known.

The suspects’ identities remain unknown to investigators.

Probers are now focusing on the motive of the suspects.

Allegedly, Maulion has no known enemies in his barangays, the report added.
