1 dead, 4 hurt in Tabaco City shooting incident

TABACO CITY, November 3, 2016 (Bicol Standard) -- One person was killed while four were injured when they were fired upon for still unknown reasons by two unidentified male persons on board a motorcycle at P-4, Brgy. San Roque, Tabaco City, early morning Wednesday.

The suspects, according to the police, were both wearing helmets and black jackets, and were on board a black scooter.

Joseph B. Borleo, 24, single, who was hit in his left armpit, was pronounced Dead on Arrival by the attending physician at Ziga Memorial District Hospital.

Meantime, Eddie Buela and Jose Carael suffered injuries on their backs, Christopher PifaƱo on his upper right leg, and Ronald Broso on his right elbow.

Recovered at the crime scene were two fired cartridge cases for caliber .45 and one fired cartridge case for 9mm.

As of this writing, the motive behind the shooting is still being established.

A pursuit operation to identify and capture the suspects has also been launched.
