Duterte approves huge increase in AFP/PNP incentives

MANILA October 4, 2016 (Bicol Standard) – A huge increase in the benefits of policemen and soldiers in terms of combat incentive pay was announced by President Rodrigo Duterte yesterday.

This is in line with his campaign promise to improve their lives.

Duterte said that he has signed Executive Order (EO) No. 3, which became effective last September 1.

The said EO 3 fixes the combat duty pay for the members of the AFP and the PNP to P3,000 per month, from the current P150 daily or a maximum of P1,500 monthly.

This is six times the amount higher than the P500 per month for soldiers and nine months bigger than the P340 monthly incentive that policemen receive.
