NAGA CITY, September 9, 2016 (Bicol Standard) -- The Naga City Police Office has issued a list of objects that are prohibited in this year's Traslacion procession:

1. No backpacks
2. No caps
3. No hoodies
4. No glass bottles
5. No sharp objects, deadly weapons
6. No firearms
7. No liquor
8. No drunk persons
9. No vehicles allowed in places in route of the procession

Said objects are prohibited as part of the security tightening security efforts.

Earlier this week, 500 additional police officers from various police units were deployed in the city to help maintain security during the Penafrancia festivities.

“The deployment of a battalion of policemen would prevent lawless elements from taking advantage of the festivity by sowing possible atrocities that would mar the religious event,” Senior Inspector Malu Calubaquib, Police Regional Office 5 said. (With report from Boyet Paderes)
