DAET, Camarines Norte September 5, 2016 (Bicol Standard) –“Gov. Edgar Tallado is still the legitimate governor of Camarines Norte,” Provincial Information officer Sherwin Mata emphasized today.

Right: Gov. Edgardo Tallado

Mata, said in a radio broadcast over Radyo ng Bayan, said the governor has not received an a copy of the six months administrative suspension, which the Department of Interior and Local Government, (DILG) is supposed to implement.

“In the meantime, the legal team of the governor is still working on the motion for reconsideration (MR) which they will file with the Office of the Ombudsman, which penned the suspension order,” Mata explained.

Apart from the motion for reconsideration, the lawyers of Gov. Tallado clarified that they can still bring the issue of the administrative suspension to the Court of Appeals (CA), if their MR is not favorably acted upon.

Mata also said that Governor Tallado still believes that the so-called “Aguinaldo Doctrine,” otherwise called the principle of condonation, is also applicable to the case that involves him.

Meantime, Mata assured the people of the province that the operation of the provincial government is normal.
