Pilar, Sorsogon teachers denounce bogus broadcaster collecting cash

PILAR, Sorsogon, September 2, 2016 (Bicol Standard)- A bogus media personality who claims to be connected with ABS-CBN DZMM was the subject of a complaint by several school officials of Danlog National High School here the other day.

The complainants named the fake radio reporter as as Benjie Razon, who visited their campus to solicit monetary contributions, allegedly for a project of ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya, which the latter vehemently denied to have authorized the impostor to represent their company.

The same report said that Razon introduced himself as a broadcaster of DZMM, a radio station owned and operated by ABS-CBN network in Quezon City.

In a related report, Vince T. Villar, a broadcast personality in Legazpi City posted in his Facebook account that he had once met Razon.

“He used to identify himself as connected with Bombo Radyo,” he said.

“It turned out, however, that he was not really part of the said radio network,” he added.

Villar also narrated that he is confused on the real identity of the suspected bogus broadcaster, since he uses many other different names as part of his modus operandi.

The authorities are now validating reports that Razon had also engaged in the same illegal activity in other parts of the Bicol Region.

Meanwhile, it is not yet clear as of this writing if the teachers who were victimized by the fake radio broadcaster would file legal action against him.
