Full alert declared nationwide – Police RD Buenafe

LEGAZPI CITY September 4, 2016 (Bicol Standard) –A national directive addressed to all PNP Regional Directors was issued yesterday, declaring the entire country to be in full alert, following the bloody incident in Davao City, which claimed 14 lives and over 70 others injured.



Under the said directive, all police stations, detachments and camps were all instructed to be on double alert for possible attacks from the enemy. Likewise, the standing order by the higher authorities is for them to coordinate with all intelligence and friendly units in their respective areas and exercise extreme caution in conducting checkpoints.

Following the said order, all Police Provincial Directors and Police Chiefs are were reminded to supervice the conduct of checkpoints and deployment of visibility patrols in areas of convergence and vital installations.

The areas that were specifically mentioned to be well secured are the sea ports, airports, bus and public utility vehicle terminals, malls, and the like.

Specific instruction was also made regarding the conduct of border control points, with police officer visibly manning the area.

Immediately upon receipt of the said instructions, Bicol PNP Regional Director Chief Supt Melvin Buenafe had issued the same directive to all concerned.
