Drug inmate Colangco to testify in the Congressional inquiry – Sec Aquirre

MANILA September 16, 2016 (Bicol Standard)—Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre of the Department of Justice (DOJ) said today that Herbert “Ampang” Colangco,”, a convicted drug dealer and robber, is expected to testify next week during the Congressional inquiry to tackle the issue on the proliferation of illegal drugs in the country.

Colangco, who is now locked at the Maximum Security Compound of the New Bilibid Prison, is among the 18 high-profile inmates, who, according to reports, still manage to continue his illegal drug transactions despite his incarceration.

His name is in the matrix that was released to the media by President Rodrigo Duterte of illegal drug personalities.

The other names that were mentioned in the matrix were that of Senator Leila de Lima, her former driver Ronnie Dayan, and another illegal drug convict, Peter Go.

Apart from Colangco, several other high profile inmates in the NBP are expected to testify in the said congressional hearing.
