4 fall in Cam Sur drug raid

BAAO, Camarines Sur August 23, 2016 (Bicol Standard) – Cops here last night arrested four persons who were caught while in a drug session at Barangay San Juan.

Apprehended were Alexander Colarina y De Lima, 39, a resident of Brgy. San Agustin, Iriga City; William Catangui y Cederia, 28, of San Juan, this town; Zaldy Botin y De Lima, 31, of San Juan, this town; and Richard Colarina y De Lima, 37, of San Agustin, Iriga City.

The cops seized from the suspects' possession two medium-sized heat-sealed plastic sachets with a substance believed to be shabu; two pieces of aluminum foil; one improvised aluminum foil tooter; a lighter; and an unused plastic sachet.

The items were brought to the Baao Municipal Police Station for examination.

Barangay San Agustin, Iriga City, is adjacent to Barangay San Juan, this town.

San Agustin is well-known as the barangay where the popular De Limas come from.

Meanwhile, in a separate interview by Bicol Standard yesterday, PSSupt. Walfredo Pornillos, Provincial Director of Camarines Sur Provincial Police Office confirmed that Baao is one of the towns in the region with a huge drug problem. In this town, barangays San Juan and Sagrada appear to be the center of the drug operations, Pornillos said.

He added that they have intensified the Double Barrel and Tokhang strategies to neutralize drug users.
