3 Albay mediamen named 'personae non grata'
Apart from Claveria, Adrian Loterte and Plaridel Persia were also cited in the said resolution.
For his part, Claveria, called upon his radio listeners and the members of the Adam Claveria Fans Club to rally behind him in condemning the alleged harassment and persecution.
He also lamented that Rosal earlier was responsible for the closure of radio station DWED FM 91.5, where he used to air his broadcast every morning.
Again, he vehemently denied any knowledge of the allegations that he and the two other name radio personalities had anything to do with the claim that the city mayor is involved in illegal drugs.
It will be recalled that yesterday, Legazpi City Liga ng mga Barangay President Esmael Santillan sponsored a resolution declaring Claveria, Loterte and Persia as "persona non grata."
He also criticized the members of the city council for not taking the initiative of getting his side of the story to clarify the veracity of their claim.
Moreover, Claveria pointed out that it is public knowledge here, especially in Barangay Sabang, that the illegal drug problem has already reached an alarming proportion.
“There was an illegal drug laboratory at Brgy. Gogon. Many residents are involved selling illegal drugs. And there are many illegal drug users,” he added.
Claveria pointed out that there were at least three foreign nationals who were caught by government authorities who were involved in illegal drugs, but nobody knows where they are now.
Furthermore, apart from illegal drugs, illegal gambling is also rampant in the city.
“They should be the ones who must be declared 'persona non grata' because they are not doing anything about these problems”, he said.
Even with these new development, Claveria promised his radio fans that he will not be cowed, and will not stop his crusade against the proliferation of illegal activities perpetrated by alleged corrupt public officials in the province.
