The victim, according to her mother, Ruby Esmeria Espineda was on her way to their kitchen to finish her laundry work when she was fired upon by an unidentified suspect.
The same report added that the victim shouted “May tama ako,” upon being hit by the bullet coming from two gun shots fired from a caliber 45 pistol.
Thereafter, she ran outside their house but the suspect pursued her, and fired one more bullet which hit her body.
Immediately the suspect fled towards an unknown direction.
Meanwhile, residents of the place headed by Brgy Capt. Gabuyo proceeded to the crime scene to bring the victim to Gubat District Hospital for medical treatment. However, she was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Personnel of the Gubat Municipal Police Station are still conducting their investigation of the incident.
Also recovered from the crime scene were two cartridges fired from a caliber 45, which was turned over to the authorities by Brgy. Kagawad Roger Radia Camposano. The pieces of evidence will be brought to the crime laboratory for further examination.
The victim was brought to San Antonio Funeral Homes for autopsy examination.
