Said packs have an estimated street value of P4.2 million pesos, according to Pandan Mayor Raul Tabirara.

This is the biggest volume of shabu recovered so far in the Bicol region since the start of the all-out campaign against illegal drugs.

Randy “Bong” Eusebio, 33 years old, of Barangay Balangonan, Libod, Pandan was served Search Warrant No. 2016-33 and 34 earlier this morning, Police Regional Office Bicol Information Officer Malu Calubaquib said.

Found in his possession were 12 sachets of a substance believed to be shabu.

While on his way to the police station, Police Senior Inspector Virgil Bibat, Pandan Municipal Police Station Chief of Police prodded Eusebio to divulge more information about the illegal substance.

Eusebio confessed that he had more of the substance buried at his residence.

When the police conducted a follow-up investigation, said 71 sachets were discovered.

Eusebio is now presently detained, while the suspected illegal drugs will be turned over to the Catanduanes Provincial Crime Lab.

Meanwhile, Mayor Tabirara has issued a statement saying he was pleased with the accomplishment of the Pandan police.

He said he fully supports the anti-drug campaign of the present administration.

He also added that as of the moment, he cannot divulge the name of the large drug syndicates operating in his town as investigation is still underway.
