The prohibited substance was estimated to have a street value of P100,000 according to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Camarines Sur which initiated the buy-bust operation.

Identified as Romer “Nono” Rapal, the suspect was nabbed at Barangay Balatas, this city, a few meters behind the barangay hall.

Rapal is a resident of Zone 7, Barangay Penafrancia, popularly known as Isla Sison, a well-known haven of illegal drugs for many years.

He was accompanied by a eight-months pregnant woman, whose sibling is also detained at Police Station 2, also for drug use.

Earlier that day, Rapal was made to recite an oath administered by the local chief executive to never be involved in the illegal drug trade again in a much-publicized anti-drug campaign, reports said.
