Drug suspect shot by ‘Bicol Vigilante’?

NAGA CITY, July 11, 2016 (Bicol Standard)—The Naga City Police Office is still conducting an investigation regarding a shooting incident that occurred Saturday near the Civic Center at Barangay Dayangdang, this city.

Ronald Elustre, the police said told the BICOL STANDARD, was shot by an unidentified person, hitting his neck.

At the site of the incident, the suspect who remains unidentified left the following message written on a piece of cardboard: “Wag tularan ang mga pushers— Bicol Vigilante”

Elustre is being treated at the Bicol Medical Center as of the time of this writing.

Investigations reveal that the victim is from Odicon, Pasacao, Camarines Sur but is presently renting an apartment in this city.

In a related report from Police Chief Inspector Alexander Monge, Pasacao Chief of Police, it was learned that Ilustre is included in the town’s drug watch list.

Naga City Police Office Information Officer Toby Bongon said additional investigation is still underway to ascertain the identity and motive of the suspect. He, however, told the Bicol Standard, that this is the first time that they have heard of a group or person called Bicol Vigilante.
