Bigtime drug dealer in Naga City falls

NAGA CITY-–After more than a month of surveillance conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Leandro "Andrew" Antonio Zamudio, a suspected drug dealer here was finally collared in a buy-bust operation.

In an interview with BICOL STANDARD, SPO2 Tobias Bongon, spokesman of the Naga City Police Office, told BICOL STANDARD that the PDEA operation was in coordination with the local police office.

Bongon also confirmed that at least 360 grams of the suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, also called shabu, was confiscated from the suspect.

The buy-bust operation was conducted at Sampaguita Tourist Inn, along Magsaysay Ave, this city.

The police report also stated that the alleged illegal drugs was valued at around P600,000.00. Its street value, meanwhile, is at least P1,000,000.00.
Bongon told the media that the buy-bust operation would serve as a stern warning against those involved in the drug trade in this City.

Meanwhile, the suspect is still in the custody of the PDEA.

A case for violation RA 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect. (With Report from PAUL SANTOS, DWNX)--BICOLSTANDARD.COM
