CSur PNP Press Corps launches feeding program in Pili

PILI, Camarines Sur, June 20, 2016 (Bicol Standard) - At least 200 children have benefited from the outreach feeding program project launched by the Camarines Sur PNP Press Corps headed by Teresa Iraola yesterday (June 19) at Brgy. San Juan, this town.

The said project was launched with the support of Sr. Supt. Walfredo Pornillos, Police Provincial director of Camarines Sur and PNP Pili Chief of Police (COP) Chief Inspector Chito Oyardo.

The children benefeciaries of the said feeding activity were selected from the poor families, according to Punong Barangay Nerio Razal of Brgy. San Juan.

Apart from the goto with chicken and pandesal that was served to the children, the members of the Press Corps had also

introduced parlor games that made the occasion more enjoyable.

Every participant was given toys that they could bring home, the report said.

COP Oyardo who was present during the entire duration of the activity said this program is one way of bringing the police closer to the constituents.

He added that he intends to organize more activities similar to the feeding program in the months ahead.

Meanwhile, Oca Esmenda of BBS-DWLV and Vice president of the Camarines Sur Press Corps told the BICOL STANDARD that their organization is scheduled to have more feeding programs in the different towns of Camarines Sur.

Esmenda said their group is considering the towns of Sipocot, Ragay to be the next project site for the feeding program activity.

Also present in the activity were the other officers of the press corps including Manny Basa Jr., Jun Joson, and Lee Duliesco. (BICOLSTANDARD.COM)
