Lucy Castañeda, DPWH-Bicol spokesperson, said the project is part of their service to those going home to the provinces for the Holy Week.
Castañeda said the DPWH-Bicol has fielded mechanics, engineers and other personnel to assist travelers and motorists who will be encountering problems in their long travel.
She said their agency has 31 motorist assistance centers (MACs) in the entire region: 12 in Masbate, 7 in Catanduanes, 6 Camarines Sur, 3 in Albay, 2 in Sorsogon and 1 in Camarines Norte.
The MACs will remain in place up to March 28, where the vacationists are expected to return to Metro Manila.(PNA)
