Legazpi City to stage play on life of Pope Francis

LEGAZPI CITY—A stage play based on the life of Pope Francis will debut here early next year, Catholic radio station Veritas Legazpi reported.

City Councilor Allan Ranola, Chairman of the Committee on Education, Arts and Culture sa Sanggunian Panlungsod, revealed the play will be called "Pope Popular."

Ranola said the play will teach the youth valuable lessons.

The play will be performed at the Ibalong Centrum for Recreation on February 17 and 18, 2015.

Earlier this year, a film called "Papa Francisco," which was based on the life of the Pontiff was released in theaters.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
