CASURECO II rate lowest among Bicol electric coops

NAGA CITY— Camarines Sur II Electric Cooperative (CASURECO II) has the lowest power rate among all electric cooperatives in the region, Board President Larry Basmayor told the BICOL STANDARD. As of September 2015, CASURECO II charges only P8.06/kWh.

Its low rate is due to a decrease in generation charge, lower systems loss and subsidies, and a reduction in the price per kWh from Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).

In comparison, he said ALECO/APEC charges P9.34/kWh; CASURECO I, P8.10/kWh; CASURECO III, P10.25/kWh; CASURECO IV, P10.5/kWh; SORECO I, P10/kWh; SORECO II, P9.00/kWh; MASELCO, P8.92/kWh; CANORECO, P8.60; TISELCO, P11/kWh; and FISELCO, P12.36.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
