No fake rice was found at the Naga City People's Mall, Camarines Sur National Food Authority Assistant Manager Nora Follosco declared after leading an inspection on July 2.

Follosco said their office received reports that fake rice from China has made its way to Tabaco Port in Albay.

Fake rice, which was found in Davao City, was reportedly made from synthetic resin and sweet potatoes.

The NFA earlier announced that the fake rice was not fit for human consumption. (Report and photos by Oscar Esmenda/BICOLSTANDARD.COM)
