Suspect in Red Cactus shooting surrenders

NAGA CITY—The suspect in the criminal incident allegedly perpetrated by Orlando Rolda, Punong Barangay of Paulog, Ligao City surrendered yesterday (June 9) at the Regional Trial Court of Ligao City, in the Province of Albay.

Rolda posted bail amounting to Php200,000 for his temporary liberty.

This case stemmed from an incident that occurred inside Red Cactus Resto Bar located along Magsaysay Avenue here.

In an interview by the BICOL STANDARD, Senior Superintendent Narciso Domingo, OIC City Director said that Rolda reported at RTC at around 8 a.m. to arrange for the payment of his bail.

Rolda is accused of the crime of Frustrated Murder in relation to Republic Act 9262 (Violence against Women and Children).

The victim in this case was Myrna Reyes of Liboton St., Naga City, a local businesswoman.—with report from Boyet Paderes BICOLSTANDARD.COM
