The report identified the teenager, who did not reach the Bicol Regional Teaching and Training Hospital alive, as Rolly Perdigon, a resident of Sitio Oraroy, Barangay Maslog.

It said Perdigon and his friends were swimming at about 6:00 a.m. when he decided to jump into the water from the Puro bridge.

The strong current of the water and big waves drowned him, the report added.

Members of the Philippine Coast Guard, Bantay Dagat, and Legazpi City Police Office who conducted a rescue operation found his body at about 7:30 a.m. and took it to the hospital but was already lifeless on arrival.

They brought Perdigon's body to the funeral parlor for autopsy to find out if there was foul play in his death. (PNA)
