The announcement was made by governor Joey Salceda on social media.

Salceda posted on Facebook: "ALBAY ON A ROLL I am also happy to announce that Albay has been offered and has accepted to host PRISAA 2016. It will be scheduled on April 2016 and has around 6,000 participants."

Earlier, Dipolog and Koronal were both reported to be offering their cities to be the sites of the sporting event.

This year, the PRISAA games were held at the Iloilo Sports Complex in Iloilo City.

The PRISAA games is a national sports gab in which athletes from private schools, Christian schools, and home school athletic departments compete.

Meanwhile, the province is also vying to be the venue of Palarong Pambansa 2016.

Salceda has already submitted the bid to Department of Education Sec. Amin Luistro.  Albay is the lone bidder so far, said the governor.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM Pirming enot.Pirming bago.
