Albay to host PRISAA 2016

LEGAZPI CITY—The Province of Albay is slated to sponsor the Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) national games next year.

The announcement was made by governor Joey Salceda on social media.

Salceda posted on Facebook: "ALBAY ON A ROLL I am also happy to announce that Albay has been offered and has accepted to host PRISAA 2016. It will be scheduled on April 2016 and has around 6,000 participants."

Earlier, Dipolog and Koronal were both reported to be offering their cities to be the sites of the sporting event.

This year, the PRISAA games were held at the Iloilo Sports Complex in Iloilo City.

The PRISAA games is a national sports gab in which athletes from private schools, Christian schools, and home school athletic departments compete.

Meanwhile, the province is also vying to be the venue of Palarong Pambansa 2016.
