CONFIRMED | Head found in Cam Sur is Masbate ambush victim's



MASBATE CITY--Masbate City Director Cerilo Trilles, Jr. confirmed to BICOLSTANDARD.COM that the severed head found inside a styrofoam ice box indeed belonged to one of the victims in the Masbate noontime ambush last Saturday (April 18).

Trilles identified the ambush victim who was beheaded as Flor Rapsing y Dumalay a.k.a. "Okong," 39 years old, married, and resident of Poblacion, Baleno, Masbate.

He was a driver.

Other victims of the ambush were Samson Suplico, Sr. y Fernandez a.k.a "Sammy," 5 years old, married, resident of Sitio Gold Bug, Barangay Syndicate, Aroroy, Masbate and  Jeremiah Suplico y Fernandez  a.ka. "Jerry," 47, years old of A-3, Heron Street, Vet. Village, Bagong Silangan, Quezon City.


Police received information about the discovered decapitated head from a resident, who spotted the styrofoam box strewn along the roadside of Andaya Highway in Barangay Cabutagan, Lupi, Camarines Sur.

Trilles said that information received regarding the severed head matched with the description given by his relatives.

Meanwhile, police are still conducting an investigation to determine the identities of the perpetrators of the daylight murders.

They are also still piecing evidence to find out if the ambush has a connection to the still unsolved Amaro massacre in Aroroy town.

One of the ambush victims, Sammy Suplico, was the brother-in-law of businessman Jesus "Ka Isong" Amaro. The latter was killed with his son and driver by armed men who stormed into his house on April 5.
