Agko na sulo | Power restored in Rinconada

IRIGA CITY—Power has been restored in the coverage areas of Camarines Sur III Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CASURECO III) shortly before 6 p.m. tonight (March 31).

The coop management was able to pay P15 million at 4 p.m. to cover their dues for the month of January 2015.

This is addition to the P10 million that was paid yesterday before the power supply was disconnected.

The coop had P85 million in dues, earlier reports said.

This, however, may be a temporary respite for residents of the Rinconada area.

Payment for the energy consumption for the month of February 2015, which amounts to P67 million, is due on April 6.

The beleaguered coop, however, still lacks money to pay for said bill.

CASURECO III services the towns of Bula, Baao, Bato, Balatan, Buhi, Nabua and the city of Iriga.

At around noon yesterday, power supply was disconnected because the coop was unable to settle its dues.—With report from Jon-jon Oyales, BICOLSTANDARD.COM Pirming enot, pirming bago.
