Magnitude 4.7 earthquake jolts parts of Albay, Sorsogon

LEGAZPI CITY--A Magnitude 4.7 earthquake was recorded at 6:53 am today (March 8) according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Phivolcs spotted the epicenter at 13.17°N, 124.11°E - 041 km N 86° E of Legaspi City. Meanwhile,  its depth of focus was recorded at 6 kilometers.

The reported quake intensity is IV, said the state seismology bureau.  It was felt in parts of Albay and  Sorsogon.  

No damage and aftershocks are expected from the tectonic earthquake. --BICOLSTANDARD.COM
