The suspect, according to the initial investigation, is Emmanuel "Awel" Rey, the son of former Dayangdang punong barangay Bert Rey. He was accompanied by his twin brother Eusebio "Abong" Rey.

In an interview by BICOL STANDARD, Police Senior Inspector Gilmore M. Ruezo, Chief of Police of Milaor said that they have already informed nearby police stations and had dispatched teams to follow-up the possible places where the suspect could have gone hiding.

In a separate interview, Jojo Villafuerte said that his son suffered four gunshot wounds, one in the stomach, two others in his chest, and another on the side of his body. All shots were fatal.

He is still waiting for the official medico-legal findings at Funeraria Imperial along Penafrancia Avenue, this city.

Apart from Jeffrey Villafuerte, another person identified as Allan Balona of Baras, Canaman, Camarines Sur, was hit by the bullet allegedly fired by the suspect. Balona was hit in the arm.

Jeffrey Villafuerte’s remains are now at Funeraria Imperial.

Meanwhile, his friends have taken to social media to express their sympathy and call for justice.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
