Former board member shot; in critical condition

PAMPLONA, Camarines Sur—Punong Barangay Domingo “Ingo” Briones of Brgy. Tambo, this town, was shot at around 11 p.m. last night (March 19).

He was hit at the back of his head.

The report said Briones was about to head home after attending a barangay benefit dance at the Tambo Elementary School Grand Auditorium when a lone unidentified gunman shot him.

Christopher Angeles, Punong barangay of  Poblacion, who was with him when the incident happened, brought him to Mother Seton Hospital in Naga City.

He is presently in critical condition at said hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Briones was a former ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Camarines Sur. He ran twice as mayor of this town, but lost.
