Bicolano wins Mr. SCUAA 2015

LEGAZPI CITY—A student of Bicol University was crowned Mr. State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) 2015 in Tuguegarao, Cagayan Valley, last night.

Leonard Mateos, a fourth year AB English student, was the former Mr. Bicol University and Mr. College of Arts and Letters in the same institution.

On Facebook, Mateos posted the following message following his win: “Thank you, God for another blessing! God is really good all the time. Thank you so much to all the people who supported me. If it wasn't for you guys, I wouldn't win this. No words can describe how grateful I am right now.
Thank you to the people of Tuguegarao, Cagayan Valley for the warmest welcome. These memories will never be forgotten. Mabbalo po!”

He added: “To all my fellow Bicolanos, this one's for you all! To all the people who never stopped believing in me, DIOS MABALOS PO SAINDO GABOS!”

Earlier, Mateos revealed that he never imagined himself to be in a national pageant.

Meanwhile, Bicol's female represenatitve to the pageant, Nikka Joyce Penolio, won as the third runner-up.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
