Masbate Gov. Lanete surrenders to CIDG
The warrant was issued after the anti-graft court's fourth division found probable cause in the charges of plunder and 11 counts of graft filed against Lanete.
The former solon has already undergone the booking process which includes the taking of mugshots, fingerprints and medical examination, said CIDG public information officer Elizabeth Jasmin.
Before this, she was also a subject of a hold departure order.
The Masbate provincial chief executive is being accused of funneling their Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), or pork barrel, to bogus non-government organizations (NGOs) of suspected scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles.
Allegedly, she pocketed Php 108.405 million out of the Php 112.29 million PDAF appropriations between 2007 to 2009.--BICOLSTANDARD.COM
