Indian money lender falls victim to 'riding-in-tandem'

DAET, CNorte –Riding-in-tandem criminals were again tagged as principal suspects in another robbery holdup incident that victimized an Indian National, here.

PSupt. Paul F. Abay, Chief of Police of this town, said that the incident was recorded at 3:30 yesterday afternoon.

The victim was identified as Jhony Singh, 43, married. He is presently engaged in the business of lending money to small businessmen in the area.

The report alleged further that Singh was in the vicinity of Joy Sari-Sari store, few meters away from the barangay hall, where he collected the weekly payment from his client.

It was further revealed in the report that when Singh was about to leave the store two persons aboard a black motorcycle arrived. Immediately one of the suspects poked a blunt object at his back and declared a hold-up.

The same police report claims that robbery suspects forcibly demanded from the victim the latter’s wallet which contains cash amounting to P5,000 and his cellphone.

After the incident, the perpetrators of the crime hurriedly fled towards the direction of the town proper.
