TALISAY, Camarines Norte—A ten-year-old boy from Barangay San Jose, this town, escaped from three men who allegedly attempted to kidnap him.
The incident took place at about 12 noon yesterday, January 26 at Purok 1, Barangay Del Carmen.
According to the initial investigation by the Talisay Municipal Police Station, the victim, Paolo (not his real name) was on his way home when he saw a white van approaching him.
Two men came out of the van, grabbed Paolo, and pulled him towards the door of the vehicle.
Paolo, however, kicked one of the suspects and managed to escape.
He immediately ran home and told his parents.
Meanwhile, Leah Encinas, a teacher at M. Cacho Elementary School who saw the incident, called the police.
Paolo later told the investigators that the men were all wearing bonnets, black shirts, and black denim pants.
One of them had long curly hair while another was bald.
The third suspect, who was driving the van, was chubby, the victim said.
Members of the Talisay police are currently conducting a follow-up investigation for the identification and arrest of the suspects.
As of the time of writing, they have not disclosed the possible motive for the attempted kidnapping.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
