Gov't troops, NPA clash anew in Goa

GOA, Camarines Sur--As the unilateral ceasefire declared by the military expires today, a fresh encounter between government troops and suspected rebels occurred here earlier. 

In a report relayed to BICOLSTANDARD.COM, the incident occurred this morning at around 9:50 at Sitio Lakilaki, Brgy. Scout Fuentebella, this town.

At that time,  the group composed of  members of the Philippine Army and the  Police's Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) were undergoing combat operations when they were fired upon by suspected members of the New People's Army (NPA).  

The encounter lasted for about five minutes.

No casualty was reported from both sides.
