Flood hits Labo on New Year's Day

LABO, Camarines Norte—Non-stop rains left low-lying areas of this town submerged under water on the first day of the year.

Rain has poured over the province since the eve of the new year.

PAGASA explained that the same was due to the tail-end of the cold front.

At noontime today, some residents of Barangay Gumamela were evacuated to safer grounds

Mayor Joseph Ascutia and Vice Mayor Francisco have advised residents of flood-prone barangays to move to the identified evacuation areas.—With report from Kenneth Oning
