In a statement this morning, Salceda directed all Provincial Government of Albay offices, offices of the national and government, and schools to fly the Philippine flag on half-mast for the rest of the week to express sorrow.

He also ordered for the Provincial Capitol to be draped in black, as it is “the seat of the power of the people of Albay.”

This morning, the governor asked employees of the provincial government to observe two minutes of silent prayer earlier this morning.

In the aforementioned statement, Salceda revealed that arrangements for a mass at the Cathedral are now being made, so that collective prayers may be offered by Albayanos.

“The moral courage of 64 PNP-SAF is [a] testament that we are regaining our sense of being as a nation-state,” Salceda posted on social media.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
