#RubyPH: Relief ops in Vinzons, Camarines Norte

VINZONS, Camarines Norte — Around 2,090 residents of this town were brought to safety at Vinzons Pilot High School and Vinzons Pilot Elementary School, as Camarines Norte braces itself for the impact of Typhoon Ruby (international name: Hagupit).

Six hundred of the residents are housed at Vinzons Pilot Elementary School, while the rest are temporarily sheltered at Vinzons Pilot High School.

Said schools are being used as evacuation centers to help protect the residents of Vinzons from Typhoon Ruby, the strongest typhoon to hit the country this year, according to PAGASA.

Gov. Edgardo "Egay" Tallado and Vice Gov. Jonah Pimentel are currently leading the relief operations in the evacuation centers. — by Mahatma Gan, BICOLSTANDARD.COM
