Roads, bridges in Bicol impassable due to Typhoon Ruby

Several roads and bridges in the Bicol region have been rendered impassable by Typhoon Ruby (international name: Hagupit).

Among these are the road in Barangay Cabuluan, Sta. Elena, Camarines Norte and the bridge from Barangay Tubli, Caramoran to San Andres, Catanduanes, according to an initial report from the police.

The spillway at Brgy P. Vera Summit, Viga, Catanduanes, which has been under construction, was also declared not passable for light vehicles as of this morning, according to the Viga Municipal Police Station.

Meanwhile, a landslide has also been reported in Barangay Bagong Sirang, Presentacion, Camarines Sur.

Typhoon Ruby pummeled the Bicol region this weekend, with public storm warnings one to three raised over the different provinces.

Said typhoon is forecast to be moving towards Sibuyan Island, where it is expected to make its third landfall between 2 to 4 AM tomorrow, December 8.
