DPWH temporarily closes Baraca bridge in Cam Sur

SAN FERNANDO, Camarines Sur—The detour bridge in Baraca, San Fernando has been declared impassable by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) last night.

Said bridge was damaged due to scour as floodwater eroded the sediment at the foundation of the bridge, thus weakening its structural integrity.

Heavy rains due to Typhoon Ruby battered the province of Camarines Sur over the weekend.

Motorists from Manila travelling towards Naga City are advised to take the Grijalvo, San Fernando alternate road.

Meantime, motorists from Naga to Manila are directed to take the Milaor-Minalabac-Antipolo road to exit at Grijalvo, San Fernando.

Members of the San Fernando Municipal Police Station have already been dispatched in the area to provide traffic assistance.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
