Recall Petition vs Bulan mayor rebooted

SORSOGON CITY—It’s all systems go for the recall petition lodged against Mayor Marnellie Ballesteros-Robles as the Commission on Election (COMELEC) partially lifts an earlier resolution suspending the holding of recall elections.

Per Resolution No. 9912, COMELEC mandated the the Office of Election Officers (OEO) to evaluate the recall petition against the mayor of this town.

Also authorized to be reopened by the poll body are the recall petitions against Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo Bayron, Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado, Baliuag Mayor Carolina Dellosa, and Cagayan de Oro Mayor Oscar Moreno.

Resolution No. 9912 was unanimously approved by Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes as well as the five other commissioners.

It would be recalled that all recall proceedings were previously halted by the Comelec en banc, through Resolution No. 9882, due to lack of funds.—BICOLSTANDARD.COM
