Today, November 30, points of ingress and egress of the municipal hall were observed to have been padlocked and blocked by a truck.

Vice Mayor Patricia Lim Guran is expected to take over the duties of the Bulan mayor starting tomorrow, the first working day after she took an oath to act as Acting Mayor..

Guran took oath before Governor Raul Lee yesterday after the provincial chief executive assented to the decision of the the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

Robles was meted a 90-day suspension after the Sangguniang Panlalawigan found her guilty of grave abuse of authority, oppression and negligence.

Meanwhile, the Mayor has filed a notice of Appeal with the Office of the President.

According to the supporters of the Mayor, this automatically stays the execution of the suspension order.

They anchor their position on Section 9. of Administrative Order No. 22, s. 2011, which  provides that "The execution of the decision/resolution/order appealed from is stayed upon the filing of the Notice of Appeal within the period prescribed herein."

Meanwhile, some Bulaneños have expressed calls for sobriety.

In a statement given to the BICOL STANDARD by Ramil Agne of the Bulan Ngonian Network, he said:"An Bulan po ay nahaharap ngayon sa isang pagsubok. Dasal po natin na sa mapayapa at matiwasa natin itong malampasan. Ang mga lider na involved ay maging responsable sa kanilang aksyon na dapat at mithiin na walang taong masaktan, lalo na ang mga supporters ng parehong panig."

Agne's group has organized and is inviting Bulaneños to join a prayer rally at the Freedom Park.

The event will start at 5 AM. — BICOLSTANDARD.COM
