SK polls to be postponed anew: Rep. Fortuno

QUEZON CITY—A member of the ruling Liberal Party (LP) confirmed that representatives of said party reached a consensus to postpone the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) polls scheduled on February 2015.
Rep. Sal Fortuno
Rep. Salvio Fortuno of the 4th district of Camarines Sur, in an interview by BICOL STANDARD, said the consensus was reached during their fellowship meeting at the Balay Headquarters in Cubao, Quezon City as they resumed after a three-week break from sessions.

Responding to incessant inquiries on whether the SK elections will push through next year, Fortuno advised those who are interested to run in the polls to hold in abeyance their campaign activities.

“It will be in the best interest of the candidates to wait for announcements on the rescheduling of the polls so that their efforts will not be wasted,” Fortuno said in the interview.

The SK polls were originally slated for October last year, but were moved to February 2015.—BICOLSTANDARD.PH
