Search for Tallado, aide continues

DAET, Camarines Norte—“We are working on it,” PNP Region V Director Chief Supt. Victor Deona told BICOL STANDARD when asked for updates on the case of Mrs. Josefina “Josie” Tallado and Darlene Francisco.

Mrs. Josephine Tallado and Darlene Francisco have been missing since Friday evening, according to the blotter report of Vinzons town in this province.

Deona said that they are following some leads, but would not yet reveal any information.

Apart from members of the PNP, Deona said that the members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) headed by PNP CIDG Chief Police Director Benjamin Magalong have joined them in the search for the missing persons.

Meanwhile, Camarines Norte Governor Edgar “Egay” Tallado said that he has left the investigation to the police.

He revealed, however, that he strongly believes that his wife, Josie, and her aide Darlene, are still alive.

Earlier, there were media reports saying that two women who have checked in a hotel in barangay Mabolo, Naga City last Saturday could be the missing persons.

Police authorities have assured the families of Tallado and Francisco that they would look into the reports.

The hotel management would not reveal the names of their clients.—BICOLSTANDARD.PH
